Ruffino's Pizza & Subs Volume 1 would be some of my best work. The artistic impression of the sound revolves around my grandfather's pizzeria located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The whole spectrum of his pizzeria is a modest touch by my grandfather being an Italian immigrant. Rocky Mount has never had an individual create a sound based off the impression of the culture the city has to offer. This instrumental album is an accumulation of me translating my mental spectrum on the idea of my grandfather's pizzeria Ruffino's Pizza & Subs into sound. Elements dealing with my childhood paying homage to Yuzo Koshiro a video game composer who I'm heavily influenced by. My grandfather makes some of the best pizza in the world. Ruffino's Pizza & Subs is located in Golden East Mall. Previous times I've listen to music associated with aesthetics such as vapor wave and vaporwave artist incorporate elements far as the idea of vintage shopping malls in their art. Golden East Mall was built in the late 80's so it has vintage vibes. The element of the production is based upon a signature of southern trap music but incorporates ideas and elements related to fundamentals associated with the eastern part of North Carolina and my grandfather's pizzeria. It's a distinct signature and the signature is something dear to my heart. I've never been to my home country " Italia " but when I go to my grandfather's pizzeria it reminds me of Italia. So this album was a recognition paying homage to my grandfather's pizzeria, just the overall aspect and the emotions I get from visiting his pizzeria. Check the album out below.
